Each weekend, we like to spice things up a little here at ME Cancun. To begin, ME Cancun pool parties take place each Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting around 12pm with our resident DJ Aaron keeping things moving. Weekend Nightlife in Cancun

At night, we keep things sizzling in Cancun at the Rose Bar. Friday nights, we celebrate Social Fridays at the Rose Bar where ladies drink free with DJ Gallo on the mixer. On Saturday nights, DJ Aaron treats us to Mash-up Saturdays which features the hottest remixes of rock, hip-hop and dance.

Last weekend, ME Cancun played host to many celebrities who came to Cancun to celebrate the grand opening of Classico, a chain of many discos and bars all over Mexico.

After the grand opening, our guests enjoyed a day poolside at ME Cancun. Here are a few photos from the pool party:

This weekend, we held a prive fashion show at Suite ME which was organized by IT Holding and Hit Gallery (our fashion boutique in the Hotel). The show took place to announce the launch of the new Galliano, Ferré & Cavallili lines. At the end, the designs were all auctioned off with proceeds going to Fundacion Pelopidas.

Last Wednesday, we threw a party at the hotel to celebrate the Season premiere of the Real World 22 Cancun. The event was incredible and of course, the entire Real World cast made it out to watch episode 1 and meet fans!

We’re pretty excited about the start of the new season of the Real World Cancun (June 24th), not just because we like the show, but also because it was filed here at ME by Melia Hotel in Cancun! We checked out MTV’s website and found a sneak preview of the show as well as the Real World cast bios and photos of the cast taken around ME Cancun.

While we can’t give away any season secrets, we can say that this season is shaping up to be one the most wild yet. Join us on June 24th in watching the season premiere of the Real World Cancun.

At ME Cancun, we see guests who have come to visit for many different reasons. From vacations to business meetings, our guests find refuge around the pool, in the restaurants, and late into the evening at the Rose Bar.

Quite often, we also have guests who come to the hotel to celebrate a special events. As you might expect, the beautiful weather in Cancun also attracts visitors interested in celebrating their weddings. We often have bachelor and bachelorette parties, couples getting married, couples on their honeymoon and couples celebrating anniversaries. Occasionally, we also have guests who come to celebrate a birthday or other important life event. Local and International guests also have the option of hosting private parties for their special events at ME.

Of course, many of our guests come to just relax just because they can. Whatever your situation, there always a reason to celebrate at ME.  Next time you’re celebrating an event or need a getaway, consider letting us help you make it an unforgettable experience.

So begins fashion week…

Fashion Week will begin this Thrusday (2/26) with the anniversary of the restaurant Grill 14, and it will continue with a fashion show at ME Cancún, ‘ME Fashion Show 2009’, where the designers will present their most recent collections and Skyy Vodka will offer special cocktails to celebrate the luxury of the event.

That same night, ME Cancún and Skyy Vodka will throw an After Party at the Rose Bar. Authorities, business leaders, hoteliers, the national press and special guests from different cities around Mexico and South America will attend the party.

Fashion Week will close with an exclusive party presented by Skyy Vodka at Dady’O. Among the activities, each designer’s muse, models from Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina will enjoy a tour to Hol-Box on a yacht provided by the franchise Náutica Boats, where Gaby Rocca will hold an exclusive photo shoot.

Recently, a couple of Honeymooners at the hotel got in touch with me through MySpace. I was excited to hear that they had a great time during their honeymoon at ME Cancun. I asked if they’d be willing to write a guest blog for my MySpace page and thankfully, they were willing. Here it is:

My husband and I married in November of 2008 and decided to stay in Cancun. We researched a few places and decided that Me Cancun was the hotel of choice. As soon as we arrived the aroma of the hotel was lovely as well as the ambiance.

We were immediately greeted by a staff member with a glass of champagne and towels to clean our hands. Our check in went smoothly and we were escorted to our room. The entire staff of Me Cancun was pleasant and extremely helpful. The hotel was clean. As soon as we dropped our luggage off, we took a walk by the pool. Amazing atmosphere. Just beautiful. The ocean was in walking distance of the pool. We then decided to have lunch at The Maxim Beach restaurant. Service and the food were great. Everyone was so polite. We had the breakfast buffet every morning and we were never disappointed. We sat by the pool on the bali beds every morning and around 1pm the DJ came out. Great music. We had dinner inside the hotel a few nights and again everything was perfect. Our favorite restaurant was the Silk Asian Bistro. The sushi was amazing. After dinner, we took a walk over to the bar for a few drinks. The drinks were very good! Our last day there, my husband and I decided to get massages outside by ocean. The massages were amazing and extremely relaxing. It was the perfect way to end our stay.

During our stay, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. There is nothing bad to say about this hotel. My husband and I had a great and relaxing honeymoon by staying at Me Cancun. Hands down ME Cancun is the friendliest, best and cleanest hotel that I have ever stayed at. There is no doubt that we will go back there again.
